| The Good | Xine DVD player is a valued movie player I found searching for GPL licensed movie players. It is free to download and use. One good is that it supports all the know DVD, CD and Video CD movie formats (it really supports over 30 video formats). It is possible to and plugins to support other formats (if you manage to find a not supported). It has the common navigation controls that every movie player has. Another good point is that you can download hundred of skins for free from a big library. It has also controls to adjust different image values such as brightness, hue, saturation and others. Finally it supports third party subtitles. For example if the DVD that is playing doesn’t have your language subtitles, you can download the subtitle file from the Internet and load it with Xine player. |
| The Bad | The only bad thing is that XIne DVD player is not available for windows, but I was informed that the Windows version is being developed right now. Good news! |
