I went to Ashley furniture homestore with a friend to check out some furniture as it was billed as being cheap yet of top draw quality. The furniture did seem decent enough and the price tags were really cheap, so we made our primary selections. We were told to allow 3-6 weeks for delivery. There were even discounted rates so we went home happily thinking that we had scored a profitable deal. However, even after two months, the furniture did not arrive. We made numerous follow up calls but their incompetent customer service kept asking for more information even though we provided complete billing details. After two more weeks, the furniture finally arrived and I was shocked to see the difference in quality between the furniture at the store and the ones delivered. It was of extremely low quality with jagged edges and loose springs which did not deserve the price we paid. We talked to consumer forums and customer representatives immediately to address the issue and kept on making calls to their customer service office for a replacement or refund policy. We did not get a refund, but after numerous back and forth calls, our furniture was replaced with proper quality ones like at the store. I heard that several others also had this problem, so my advice would be to stay away from Ashley unless you really want cheap furniture with no requirements on quality. |

if you have the money to buy some good furniture, check out Havertys or a consignment shop. You can find good deals every now and then.

| The Good | The furniture is ok. If you don't have the big bucks to spend on furniture, Ashleys is probably good for you. |
| The Bad | Check the quality of the build on the furniture. Ashleys will staple the drawers together instead of dove tailing. The finishes on most of their furniture is also rough. I saw scratches and chips on a lot of their show room stuff. |
