I didn’t smoke for a big period of my life. I smoked for only three months but I reached the limit of 80 cigarettes per day. This is really the worst thing that a person can do. I felt tired so quickly. I couldn’t run over 20 seconds. So I decided to stop smoking. My friends said that this will be very difficult but I was hell-bent to stop smoking. A doctor suggests my to use Nicorette chewing gums and claimed that this product will help me a lot. I have to said that I don’t believe to products like that. I think that everything is in the mind. But nicorette isn’t a product like the others. It helped a lot to my effort and now I am a happy no smoker. When I need to smoke a cigarette I chew a nicorette gum and my need flows away. I don’t know if this product is just a placebo or a medical product but it really helped me.

Kicked them to the curb for a piece of gum

User Review

The Good I had smoked for years before I found Nicorette. I had tried patches, inhalers and lozenges. None of them worked and all were expensive. One day, I was in the pharmacy and I stumbled across this wonderful product. I thought why not? It didn’t cost much more than a pack of cigarettes. It took about three months, but I was finally smoke-free. I think that Nicorette is an amazing product. I know it sure helped me. Also, several months ago, my father started his “Quit Smoking” program. He is diabetic and uses Nicorette, since it is sugar-free it does not interfere with his blood sugars.
The Bad I do suppose I have a couple of complaints. I have a couple of capped teeth and the gum does have a nasty tendency to stick to my caps occasionally. My father has told me that it also sticks to his top dentures sometimes. Also, the label tells you not to eat or drink while chewing Nicorette. So, remembering not to drink anything for 15 minutes after you finish chewing it can be a little bit of a hassle, but I guess not more than having to find a place to smoke.
The Ugly When I first started using Nicorette, I did have a couple of pretty severe headaches. So, I called my doctor. He told me that this might be an interaction with another medicine I was on and to also watch for any heart palpitations or irregular heart rate or beat. I didn’t have any of those things, but it can be a little scary to know about such severe side effects.
