| The Good |
I had smoked for years before I found Nicorette. I had tried patches, inhalers and lozenges. None of them worked and all were expensive. One day, I was in the pharmacy and I stumbled across this wonderful product. I thought why not? It didn’t cost much more than a pack of cigarettes. It took about three months, but I was finally smoke-free. I think that Nicorette is an amazing product. I know it sure helped me. Also, several months ago, my father started his “Quit Smoking” program. He is diabetic and uses Nicorette, since it is sugar-free it does not interfere with his blood sugars. |
| The Bad |
I do suppose I have a couple of complaints. I have a couple of capped teeth and the gum does have a nasty tendency to stick to my caps occasionally. My father has told me that it also sticks to his top dentures sometimes. Also, the label tells you not to eat or drink while chewing Nicorette. So, remembering not to drink anything for 15 minutes after you finish chewing it can be a little bit of a hassle, but I guess not more than having to find a place to smoke. |
| The Ugly |
When I first started using Nicorette, I did have a couple of pretty severe headaches. So, I called my doctor. He told me that this might be an interaction with another medicine I was on and to also watch for any heart palpitations or irregular heart rate or beat. I didn’t have any of those things, but it can be a little scary to know about such severe side effects. |
