The Good Strong and durable design, protective sleeve, indents for quick chopping
The Bad Expensive considering its limited feature range.
Your Review I always like to have a strong multipurpose knife collection in my kitchen to give me that desired time saving edge while cooking. The Pampered Chef Forged Cutlery 7" Santoku knife provides me with the dual fold benefit of easier cooking combined with time saving techniques. It has a German full steel blade so it cuts through anything with ease thanks to their sharp, balanced edge for effortless slicing. The blade is also resistant to strain and corrosion, which gives it better longevity. I like the strong and durable design which have become a hallmark of all Chef Forged cutlery products. The knife handle is contoured for a more comfortable grip and Pampered Chef offers a full lifetime guarantee coverage in case of damage, the chances of which seem extremely less. The knife is well balanced in precision from all angles, helping those with small hands to get better grip.

An impressive feature of the Santoku knife is the presence of indents or hollow releases grooved inward into the knife. Such a scalloped design is known as Ganton edge and is extremely beneficial during a quick chopping session as it forms a bridge between the food materials and the knife blade and release it, preventing bits of food from getting stuck to the blade. Another nice feature is the presence of the protective sleeve covering that prevents you from accidentally cutting your hand while reaching the drawer for the knife. Overall, its a bit expensive for its feature range but overall a nice and sturdy knife to add to your kitchen cutlery set. Strongly recommended!

This is the best kitchen knife I ever had. This knife cuts everything. It cuts with the same easement a soft vegetable and a frozen chicken. Yes I managed to cut in pieces a whole frozen chicken with that knife. Of course, the brand says everything. It is a powerful Pampered chef knife. This knife has a German full steel blade and that’s why it costs too much.

The Good As I said this knife cuts everything. But the difference of this knife is that it cuts everything easily. I am also impressed with its handle. It has very different lines from the other knifes. It fits with your hand. Finally, a very good point is that this knife has a lifetime guarantee.
The Bad The bad, I think, is the price. You can pick it by giving 70$. It is a big amount for a knife.
The Ugly The ugly thing is that you can’t put it in the dishwasher. Only hand wash is allowed…

A cut above the rest!

User Review

The Good It's Pampered Chef... need I go on? Years ago I found myself inundated with party hosting responsibilities from every maker of every product that would sucker anybody in. Pampered Chef, Home Interiors, Mary Kay, Tupperware... you name it and I've hosted a party for it. But let me tell you, nothing compares to the quality of products I've found at Pampered Chef. This knife in particular is every chef's choice! The knife is perfect for slicing, dicing, mincing, cutting fish and every other meat, etc. It has a full tang (the steel piece of the blade extends fully into the handle) and the blade weight and handle weight are equal. Two important qualities you need to look for in quality cutlery. It comes with a blade cover, hollowed recesses (so the sticky foods slide off the knife)on the blade, and a lifetime guarantee.
The Bad It's $70 for the single piece. But, for quality cutlery, be prepared to dig deeper in the wallet. This isn't your typical Wal-Mart brand $5 knife that will need replacing in 6 months. This blade also requires a honing after every few uses, and you're supposed to have it professionally sharpened every couple of years.
The Ugly It's a Pampered Chef exclusive, which means you have to either buy it from a consultant or buy it online at their store to get the full guarantee so you're going to pay shipping and handling charges in addition to the price of the knife. Keep your receipt too, or the warranty is no good.
