| The Good |
Though the Sony HDR-FX1 remains an excellent HD camcorder, it is obsolete now. HDR-FX1 was Sony's first HDV camera, designed for high-definition. It is priced at whopping $3,700, where it actually costs less! The Sony HDR-FX1 employs three CCDs and some more-advanced controls. It has some very well-thought-out features that the easy transition to HD. It can shoot standard-definition DV, and it can down convert HD footage to SD for viewing or editing with the standard-definition postproduction systems and distribution formats. What makes it a great designed camcorder is its new arrangement of the 3.5-inch, 16:9 Swivel Screen LCD. The several aspects of the camera's basic methodical and mechanical design demonstrate that Sony is surely paying attention to the users’ practical needs. It captures excellent videos but the quality of the audio will need to be worked upon. There are several upgraded models to the Sony HDR – FX1 which are available in the market. |
