The acoustic nature of "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova complements its harmonious yet simple melody. The song carries a rich chord progression full of smooth transition and variety in tone. The piece embodies both serenity and boldness that serves to make a complete and exceptional interlude.Though falling in the genre of "Sappy Love Songs", Hansard's lyrics present a more profound level of writing that avoids cliches while fully embracing the emotions that are necessary for a good "love song". If you're a sucker for mellow music that melts hearts, high chances you'll be a fan of this one. Although I do feel as if the harmonization could have been better executed, it in no way takes away from the holistic beauty of the song. -h00tz |
